Theodore Rufus “Teddy” Long (born September 15, 1947) is an American professional wrestling personality, having served as a manager, referee, and authority figure, best known for his tenure with WWE. Mr. Long has many great projects coming soon. Teddy is currently the Vice President of AWF (Alabama Wrestling Federation). He is also being heavily booked by other independent wrestling leagues to help them expand their brand and gain more popularity. These days, Teddy Long can be found hosting and making appearances for independent wrestling leagues all over the globe. He does special guest appearances on several media outlets as well. Aside from his large role in the wrestling industry, he is very heavily involved in events for community programs, schools, churches, and other companies and organizations.
Long began his career in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) where he became a manager. In 1998, he débuted in the WWE (then named World Wrestling Federation) as a referee but returned to managing in 2003. He later served as General Manager of SmackDown for two tenures lasting a combined six years as well as one reign as ECW General Manager. These days, Teddy Long can be found hosting and making appearances at all types of events. He also does special guest appearances on several media outlets.
